Soft And Misshapen Awkward Attempts stems from Amato's series Blurred Boundaries which was conceived during the pandemic. The work has morphed into a large scale, site specific work using multiple pieces of domestic furniture and was built over a two month period in the same space it was exhibited in.
This work was awarded a 2023 New Work Grant, by the Queens Arts Fund, NY, USA.
